System Administration and Deployment

This chapter is for administrators responsible for installation, maintenance, backup, and workstation handover. Successful startup alone is insufficient: layouts, personnel data, photos, equipment, and permissions must continue to work together after migration, upgrades, and recovery.

The runtime root contains the actual running CREVIA programs. The project directory holds organized business databases, layouts, and external resources. Neither term implies a fixed installation path. Use actual local paths and user directories rather than copying examples as production settings.

Inventory environment/files in 6.1-6.2, establish backups in 6.3-6.4, deploy multiple clients through 6.5, prepare updates through 6.6, and collect incidents through 6.7. First installation/production is in Chapter 2; application operations are in Chapters 4 and 5.
